Is technology helping or hindering when it comes overcoming communication barriers in health care??

I agree that technology is helping to overcome communication barriers in health care. Technology is continuing to improve; one form of technology that I believe is helping reach out to patients is telehealth. Telehealth is now able to provide people who live in remote areas access to health professionals. Nurses or doctors can speak on the telephone and communicate with individuals who may need advice on their health problems and may not have access to a health clinic because they live in a remote location. I also believe that the new electronic forms are also improving communication in health care. Having patient’s records available on the computer allows for more precise documentation and easier access for nurses and doctors to look up a patient’s file.
